Glad to hear it Bob. Get those wheels rolling as soon as the docs say it's ok !

Great news Bob.

If you get here for Spring Training please give us a call and we'll get the group together for a mini rally to celebrate your recovery.

Wonderful news, Bob.  Great everything will be o.k. now, and all is in working order again.  Here's hoping you can get on the road again soon and back to enjoying your life.

Bob,

That's really great news!!!! :) :) Now take some time to recover before hitting the road. I had my GB removed in '90 the old fashioned way.

VERY good news, Bob.  I'm sure you're unbelievably relieved.  Been thinking of you even though not online much the last few days.  Take care, old friend.

Bob:

That is especially wonderful news!! :)

The Admiral and I are tankful that you have that all behind you now.

"Hey -- looks like I may still get to see some spring training baseball at the Goodyear Ballpark after all.  "

Please let everyone know if you decide on Goodyear.  Sharon and I would love to come and visit.  In any case we are looking forward to your return at QZ nest year.

God Love!!  --- Sharon and Smoky

My recovery is progressing, though am naturally impatient. The surgeon tells me not be fooled by the fact that there are only 4 little holes in my tummy vs. a long incision -- in that in my case, he had to pound around in there quite a bit to get that puppy out plus clean up afterwards. Will continue this regular but soft diet for another week or so, but so far am not having any digestive problems. Am being very careful of anything that puts stress on the abdomen muscles such as lifting. One thing for sure, I know exactly where the problem area was when I move or do something in the wrong direction and don't use some kind of support as I should be.

Am able to drive now - and yes, the first place I went was Fry's electronics. Am looking at a quad core small case desktop. Plus what better place to get my daily walks than to do all the aisles at Fry's looking at all the toys. My followup will be around the 25th but am going to try to get that done sooner. i am then scheduled for an MRI in 3 months to just check out everyhing from top to bottom.

Yes, would love to meet up with those in the area while in Goodyear if I make it that far. That would be great! As a devout Kentucky basketball fan would also like to find myself in a Laughlin casino sports book during March Madness. For now am hanging on at the Loomis RV Park just north of Roseville.

Thank you again, my friends . . .  :)

And, why does that not surprise me?!?  ::) ;)  I'm sure you needed an electronics "fix"!

I bet if he wasn't still on a restricted diet some restaurant would be the first place he'd hit :)

Good work, Bob.  You'll be on the road in no time.

We passed the Fry's in LV today but I couldn't convince Lorna to stop.

Bob,

Just more great news! Keep up the good work and don't push it! I am another one that is accused of being impatient. I remember after one of my major operations in '91, I was supposed to be off for six weeks. After about two I couldn't stand it so I painted the living/dining rooms and hallways and replaced the moldings. Then, after another couple of weeks, I had to return to work before I really hurt myself. ;D

Luckily, my two cataract removals in the past month allow me to return to normal functioning after one week. ;D ;D

Am a little late for the rally, my friends, but am now in Quartzsite parked at the Tyson Wells RV park on Kuehn Street!

I moved from the Loomis, CA RV Park to the Mark J park in Sacramento while waiting on my final tummy exam at Kaiser. It was farther away from my doctors, but much cheaper. Then on the 28th the surgeon told me I was good to go -- and that I could eat anything I wanted and could do any exercise that I was OK with otherwise. He said most of his patients do pizza with exotic topping for the first sinful meal -- whereas I went for spaghetti and meatballs!

The 28th was this past Monday and I was underway on Tuesday the 29th. Only got as far as Santa Nella that afternoon, but then spent Wednesday night at a park on the 40 East of Barstow - and finished the trek on Thursday. Decided to do full hookups at $150/month vs. having to run my genset on this high priced gas out on the desert. This is a fun spot for me because parts of the Tyson show is still here and I am parked right in the middle of it all. While here I plan to do a lot of walking, bike riding, photography - and catching up on my business stuff that has been sorely neglected.

With the gas pricing will probably leave my rig here and try to do the Jeep over to Goodyear to do Reds MLB and to visit forum friends in the area.

I plan to be here for at least a month, then must return to Roseville for an MRI. Will be spending a few weeks in Laughlin en route and will most likely go through LV and Reno on my return route to Roseville. If anyone is in the QZ area or passing through, please drop by and say hello. It's nice being back QZ, but I sure miss my forum friends that have since moved on down the highway.

BTW, those $2.99 bacon and eggs at Sweet Darlene's sure tasted good this AM!!! And Jeff, I plan to do sausage and eggs at the Taco Mio for breakfast tomorrow AM. Wish you could join me.
