Has anyone ever stayed over in a parking lot near Lake George NY? We are planning a trip in a couple weeks checking in on Friday. Check in time is 1pm and was told bout tge traffic passing the outlet malls. So we thought bout staying in a parking lot Thursday night to help with travel time n traffic. We will be towing an open trailer with a golf cart on it. Looking for something maybe more secure cause of cart. Thanks for any advice!

I haven't been in the Lake George area for some years now, but overnighting with an RV anywhere near the village and the lakeside resorts used to be forbidden. Is there some place you expect to be able to boondock?

There is a busy mall in Lake George Village and a bunch more 4-5 miles south of the village. Where are you camping on Friday and outlet, if any do you need to pass to get there. Some are easily bypassed via I87.

We take Glen Lake Road to avoid the outlets to get to out camp at Ledgeview RV Park. We tow a Reflection 315RLTS and don't have any problems. Not going to be fast but the outlets jam things up during the day. We've seen state route 149 backed all the back to Ledgeview to the light on Route 9. Getting to Lake George RV Park, well, the Glenn Lake Road may still get you there quicker but...... Staying in a parking lot it this area will be tough. There are two WalMart's in Glens Falls you might try.

We are traveling north from the pocono area of Pennsylvania checking in at Lake George RV Park.
