I recently installed strip LED lighting under my kitchen cabinets at home. WOW!! What a difference!
The strips come in MANY flavors. The 3528 chip (LED) 60 per meter gives 119 Lumens / ft. (love mixed metric / english measurements!)
The 5050 chip, 60 per meter gives 238 Lumens / ft.
They both come in 120 chips / meter at twice the light output. Both come in several "colors", i.e. Daylight, Cool White, Warm White, etc.
We used the 3528, 60 chip Warm White in the kitchen, and they are almost too bright.
These will work well under cabinets or inside cabinets. Place near the front of the area.
Here is a link to what I used. https://smile.amazon.com/Flexible-Non-waterproof-Christmas-Decoration-Daylight/dp/B00HSF65MC/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1494645024&sr=8-13&keywords=3528+led+strip+lights
They run on 12V, either directly or from a transformer. No reason your camper 12V supply could not be used.
