Going to New London for a BBQ competition the last weekend in Sept.  Saw a few campgrounds on internet sites can anyone recommend one from experience. Thanks Bob

First, none will be cheap!!! Anything along the CT shore is expensive even though many do not rate the expense. Along with those mentioned, another, near Mystic, is Highland Orchards.

20 Minutes from New London are both Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos and both have RV overnight lots that are free. Have stayed at Mohegan and if you get there early enough you might get a spot with a great river view.
