Seems to be the way we are headed as a nation, disappointing IMO. I certainly have strong opinions on this, I'm sure we all do. :cautious:
 
Mesa Verde and Hovenweep in Colorado are also cashless on site. Probably all other NPS sites, too. Federal government requires two employees count money so easier/cheaper to only accept plastic.
 
yes, cashless is probably more efficient, but having no cell service and requireing you to buy online is awful combo. Tonto forest used credit card machine, powered by solar, if they could put Syarlink in boxes, would be much easier!
 
I have a secret weapon in my 21st century struggle with "the man", she's 13 and he's 11. It's as simple as "here's my credit card, take care of this, you owe me money anyway".
