Thanks! Do you have an EZ  pass? If yes where do you get one? How Much? Is it OK and worthwhile with MH towing a toad? Is my Florida unit OK for use in Chicago?

I have an I-Pass, which works on the EZPass system, which covers most of the country east of the Mississippi, excrpt FL and GA.

It's free, but you usually load it up with $50 initially. In addition to the convenience, the toll (at least in Illinois) are half price. It is definitely useful and worthwhile when towing.

You can get one at any of the toll road service plazas.

Maybe I will get one of those next year if I come to the Chicago area. I will then go on the free ways and toll ways. Maybe my Florida one will work by then.

I hate driving through the Chicago metro area with a passion. Whenever I travel east-west, I will run US 30 to Ft Wayne, and 24 toward Peoria, and take I-39 up to Madison.
It is longer, but, I am in no hurry, anymore.
I am perfectly happy to avoid that entire Chicago - Cleveland rat trap.

We made it to Fish Lake Beach CG OK. Route US 30 was very slow. I think I will get an EZ pass and try the GPS next year.
