The problem was that the same message got posted twice, once as a reply, the second time as a quote of my message. I just wanted to delete the second message but still don't know how to do it.

Thanks for clarification Bernie. Ned had fixed it before I saw it, so I was a little confused.

At the present time, deletion of messages is disabled because folks were deleting messages and breaking topics. Someone coming along at a later time wouldn't be able to make sense of the discussion. But forum staff can delete something for you if it's needed. Normally, one of the staff will see something that needs fixing and take appropriate action without being asked.

Believe it or not, we've gone to Trona as a destination. It has a nice museum and an interesting old town. The museum sells mock road destination signs:
Nowhere? ?15 miles
Trona? ? ? ? 25 miles

Hmmm. ?I remember that sign. ? But it said Trona-15, Nowhere-25. ? Like I said, not a destination. ? ?;D
