Mmmmmm . . . so if once in a while you like receiving those distant, non-local TV stations, don't use the app, eh?

Correct... Or you could do what I do sometimes. I use a "fake GPS" app to fool the Dish app into thinking I'm someplace I'm not. Of course you need to make sure you'll still be in the spot beam footprint unless you pick a location with a CONUS feed.
