We have reservations at Fishing Bridge Campground at Yellowstone and would like to know if our DISH NETWORK satellite dish will be able to pick up TV service.  Anyone know?

The answer is "it all depends". On your location that is. Trees are the enemy of satellite signals and Fishing Bridge has lots of them.

Good luck, but I think the odds are stacked against you.

IS the dish roof mounted or mounted on a tripod or other portable device.  It could make all the difference with trees in the area.

Only problem we had was everyone wanting to watch our outdoor TV as we was the only one there with a dish.

We have both a roof mounted and a portable tripod mounted dish. We've not yet been in a location where I couldn't hit at least one of the six Dish Network satellites, regardless of the tree cover. Sometimes it took 150' or so of coax to find a clear enough spot though.

You will more than likely get a signal on the portable if you can find clear Southern sky...if you do get a signal and if you have an outdoor TV - make sure you MUTE it during the food commercials - the bears love to watch them.....

Enjoy,

Jim
