Create a clear boundary for your campsite that others are not to cross.  I don't know how soft the ground is wherever you camp, but try using a tall garden border type fence, like the one at this site: http://www.bestnest.com/bestnest/RTProduct.asp?SKU=PAP-89373 It folds up easily, doesn't take up much room, so you can take it with you.  And it looks pretty
