The doghouse on my 75 Chevy Class C is simply just fiberglass... It is loud and hot while driving. Any suggestions from you savvy  motorhome vets?

Insulating the doghouse is well worth the time and money.  Check out this post for more info.

I am a huge fan of Dynamat.  It is a simple peel and stick application and made an amazing difference with sound and heat.
They make different products.  Some for sound and some for heat and some for sound and heat.  You can apply one with another on top for even more effect.
I recommend applying it to not only the doghouse but to the structure around the doghouse that separates the engine from the interior.  This will make the interior a lot quieter and your ride more pleasant.  Don't forget to apply it to the area between the engine firewall and the front facia on the area under the dash.  That was the final area that made the biggest difference in sound deadening.
You can find it at many sites.  I got mine at Summitracing.com.
