FMCA Indio Rally Jan.9-13

I'm glad I was finally able to make it to the rally - it was good seeing everyone at the parade.

Ray and Liza - thanks for the food coupons.  I caught the BBQ guy just as he was closing up and he piled my plate so high with BBQ chicken that I had to bring most of it home.  I probably have two more meals in the refrigerator.

Wendy and Mike - I saw your yellow VW and decorated coach first, but I'm sorry I wasn't able to meet up with you.  I was watching the parade from the other end with the rest of the group.

Anyway, I'm back in Van Nuys and getting ready to go into work in the morning.

For those here in Indio who are cold, I'd like to point out that the current temperature in Moab (4:45 MST) is NINE. And at my house in Cortez, the temperature is 11, headed to a predicted low of -12. It's all relative.

And that's why we are in Indio and not Moab or Cortez ;D

The Big Top Parade Theme was a hit.  It was one of the most creative and fun parades ever despite  having only 8 floats.  They threw popcorn , peanuts and candy.  RVForum member scrambled to get their goodies, especially Mimi!

There was a crowd who ventured out early to the Augustino Casino seafood buffet and we await the report on that meal. 

Elton John/Billy Joel (look alike) entertainers performed renditions of popular songs and wowed the audience.  In the morning  we head in different directions but with a promise to return to the Indio Western Area rally next year.
