I looked at a new one last summer. I can't recall the model, but I think it was a Lexington 255. It had a nice layout and pretty paint, but I lost total confidence when I opened a couple of drawers that were falling apart in the showroom. Butt joints-haphazzardly stapled. It may have been a bad example, but it made me wonder about the quality of construction in areas you can't see. I think you were on the right track with Lazy Daze and Born Free. If I were to buy a Lexington (or anything else for that matter), I'd go with used to 1) see how well it's holding up after a few years, and 2) avoid the precipitous depreciation that comes with a new one.
