I had fun for about 4 hours today. I borrowed my nephews HD flat-bed dove-tail trailer to haul my tractor to a shop to get the leaking head gasket replaced. He hooked it to my truck, so i didn't have to get out of my truck. When i got it home I backed it into the RV garage to add air to the tires. When I stopped I noticed t brake lights didn't reflect off the back wall.
I checked the lights and 1 tail-light worked nothing else. When I disassembled the trailer plug it fell apart. So I had 6 wires attached to the terminal blades, but just dangling, not in the holder.
I had a new Bargman plug so began attaching the wires, until I realized the wires were different colors. I spent the next 3½ hrs with my 12V power supply and jumper wires IDing which wire powered what and attaching it to the correct terminal of the new plug. I once had to decipher 6 black wires on a trailer. This is the first time I ever used a pink wire for the brakes; and the trailer wiring appears to be original.
