Hello to all. I am new to the forum and the RV life. My wife and I just purchased a 2000 Monaco Diplomat 38D, 47K miles. We have been looking for a coach for eight months now, reading and educating ourselves as much as possible along the way. I was willing to drive wherever needed for the right coach but wound up only a couple hours from home luckily.

While we are new to a motor home, we had a 20 x 54 foot houseboat for ten years, so a lot of the systems are similar. Still, there is a lot learn and I look forward to a place where I can seek help.

We owned six Malibu ski boats over a span of twenty five years. I belonged to a forum of Malibu owners and racked up 5000 plus posts. I helped a lot of folks with there boats over the years so its my turn to be on the needy side.

My wife is retired, and I am a low voltage contractor by trade. In my younger years (only four of them), I was an electrician on a nuclear submarine. Looking at retirement in a couple years, at which point the coach will be much more active. We reside in Central California.

Welcome to the forum. Were you ever stationed at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard?  I retired from there in 2013. I worked in X38 and Combat Systems.

I just wanted him to read through the first 15 pages before he got to the one where he can add his post.
