Does anyone have any experience with carbon monoxide detectors?  I have a built-in Leco that I assume is original with motorhome and 16 years old.  Do these things have a limited useful life?  It has a power light that remains on but the test button does nothing and I assume it does not work at all.  Does a person simply have to replace them ever so many years or are they maintainable?

CO detectors do have a limited lifetime.  I would just replace it with a new one.  Mac the Fire Guy sells detectors, we have both smoke and CO detectors from him
