LP tank indicator

My LP indicator showed 1/3 .I had it filled and now reads empty.I drove to the next campground and tried to have it filled and they said it was fill,they checked the gauge on the tank and said there was no needle.Any suggestions.

The level gauge at the tank is magnetically coupled to the internal float, making it easy to change. The most common gauges currently in use are snapons made by Rochester Gauge. The first link below is for a basic gauge without a remote readout connection. The second link has the remote readout connections.
