Motorized Sun Shades

The motor has died in the power shades on my 2008 Monaco Dynasty.  Monaco no longer carries the motor.  I am looking for replacements.  The shades are Carefree, but their replacement cost $698.  Any suggestions on replacements?

  Maybe you can find a motor by the specifications only of the motor. Hope it has a plate on it to get numbers from. Look on amazon or in Graingers catalog. Maybe by brand of motor.

You can buy a complete Carefree Smart Visor power window shade for $100- $130. Here are some sources (there are many online). Note that they come in a couple different widths.

Unless I'm mistaken, you didn't specify if this "power shades" was in the salon or the dash area. Not sure if there is a difference in the motors.

X2  If you can retrofit - the MCD is a nice shade.  It has both a sun shade and night shade, each controlled independent.  Ours work great.

Thanks everyone for your help.  We were able to replace both sides for under $300 with Carefree shades.  Working great.
