We are thinking of driving the Natchez Trace Parkway and are looking for info on parking with mh and toad on the highway while doing some short hikes to place of interest along the route. Also any recommendations for CG's with full hookups not too far off the parkway. We would appreciate any info so we can do some planning before we get to Natchez in a week or so.
Thanks.

It's been awhile, but we found campgrounds to be very scarce along the Natchez Trace Pkwy. The campgrounds that are actually on the Parkway are primitive - no facilities at all. There were full service campgrounds at the very southern end, ad more near the TN border, but little in between. Maybe things have changed since.

This official NPS site says it has up to date campground info:

There are several areas along the Natchez Trace for pulling over and viewing. Around the Jackson, MS area there are several campgrounds, not well kept and no full hookups on or near Ross Barnett Reservoir. Watch out for bicyclist in this area! Heading north stop at French Camp and try the menu at the local Cafe and stop by the visitors center and pick up a loaf of their home made bread.  Heading further north there's Little Mountain, no full hook ups. Witches Dance is a rest area/picnic area about half way between HWY 82 and Tupelo. A little further north is Davis Lake with dump site and great camping sites(working on full hook ups here but I don't think they have completed this yet). Then a little further north is Trace Lake, just a few miles off the Trace. Great place to camp most with full hookups(may want to book a slot in advance though on line). They are a few more smaller camping areas in the immediate area but Trace Lake would probably be most recommended until you get further north in the Pick Wick Area, several camping areas from there on into Tn area. Google Natchez Trace and you may find more places I just mentioned a few that I've visited.

Drove the Trace about 5 years ago. If you want to get some place fast don't use the Trace. Plan on driving 45-50 mph and enjoying yourself. We drove a 38 foot class A & was pulling a toad. There are several places that one can pull over without any problems. You may not see any world changing stops, but there is a lot of history along the Trace that one can see if they take their time and visit the historical locations. If you are coming from the southern tip and you end in TN, there are a lots of things to do in the Franklin/Nashville, Tn area. If ending in MS, plan on spending a few days in the Vicksburg, MS area.

Was on the Trace last week from Jackson,MS to Nashville with Son and 2 Grandchildren for spring break.  There are curved pullouts all along the route.  If there a pullout that does not have a circle drive,it will have a sign to let you know.  We drive some of the Trace every year as it is one of our favorite deives.  Our MH is 36 ft. with a Honda CR-V in tow.  Take your time if possible and visit a lot of the pullouts to enjoy its history.
