Hi there everyone. Just brought home an 84 winnebago cheiftan 27ft. First time rv'ers :)  She needs a ittle love but we are pretty handy. Any suggestions on the best roof sealer for a do it yourself kinda girl would be appreciated.

Many thanks,
Natasha

Hi Natasha.  Welcome to The RV Forum and congratulations on the new RV.  Believe me they all need TLC.  Being handy, you will do well.  When you have questions we are here for you.  Between the library and picking the minds of members we can generally come up with the needed answers.

What is it you are dealing with on the roof?  D you have a seam that is leaking?  Do you have a rubber roof that is needing attention?

I hope you don't mind; I took the liberty to modify the title of your post to be more descriptive of your request for help.

I can't say enough about Eternabond tapes for sealing seams. Quick. Easy. And (they say) permanent. Sticks like crazy.

I'm in the process of resealing our '85 Itasca with Eternabond. I purchased much of my needs on eBay, but some from other sources. It is readily available online, but a few of our local dealers never heard of it.

If it's a seam, eternabond does what they claim.  Or lap sealant by Dicor which is also excellent in the proper application.
