Greetings,

Don't know if this is helpful but on the local news here, it was stated that a number of people are being laid off at Newmar. They stated high inventory and lack of sales for this decision.

sssshhh we're trying to keep this kind of talk out of the news.

Not at all surprising. RV industry watchers have been forecasting this for months as sales slow for a variety of reasons, e.g. rising interest rates, high volumes of used RVs for sale, and the end of the Covid-era RV boom. Overall RV sales declined 43% in 2023 and 2024 isn't looking much better.

Who is “we”? Unemployment is at a 50 year low. Industries which boomed during the pandemic RV’s, Kayaks, Bicycles, etc are experiencing the boomerang effect. What goes up must come down..

Haven't you heard? The whole economy is in shambles. People were better off during the Great Depression!! ...

On the flip side, maybe parks will open up a bit and there will be more availability for some of the bigger destinations.

That's sad news about Newmar. In our dealings with them, we haven't met anyone who doesn't seem engaged and passionate about their work. I wonder if the original Newmar company owners would have done this, or if this is corporate financial shuffling by its new parent, Winnebago.
