I like Dave Allen's humor and skits.  I first saw him in the late 70s about the time Benny Hill was popular, they syndicated a season of Dave Allen at Large to US TV.  Didn't have too many takers and disappeared after the initial run.

Lately for some reason more and more of his stuff is showing up on YouTube.  I'm enjoying catching up on everything I mssed.

Two things I remember about him...
1. His inventive use of the index finger that is missing the first joint. Something to do with his nose  :)
2. The one time he told a joke and cracked himself up trying to finish it. He said "I hadn't heard that one before".
We lived in Lakenheath, England from '74 to '79 so saw most all of his shows.
