Overton snowbirds

Anyone here spent any time boondocking near Overton, NV? Drove through on way home last spring but didn?t have time to stop.  Am interested in how gold prospecting is in those parts.

A few miles South of Overton as you climb up to the top of the bench there is dry camping on both sides of the Hwy. Be aware the the ?new? normal level of Lake Mead is about 100? lower than the Old level and some of the Marinas have been closed. Farther south close to Henderson is Government wash another dry camping area. Sorry don?t know anything about searching for Gold.
