We have always traveled with German Shepherd dogs, and while the one we have now rarely barks, we have had dogs in the past that barked a little too often.  Your only course of action, short of getting thrown out of parks and annoying your neighbors is to get bark collars.  Get the expensive ones that are activated by the vibration of their throats as opposed to just load noises, which may not be their fault, or could be the other dog, if you have more than one.

If you know your dogs bark excessively when they're alone, don't leave them alone. If you don't know if they bark, leave the RV, sneak back to see if they do. And believe your neighbors if they say the kids bark. They are ways to control the barking but only if you know they are barking.

Leaving the kids inside and leaving is the only way to tell if barking is going to happen. we always left the A/C on and the radio loud enough to override the noises from outside.
Our previous dog was FABULOUS when left alone. The ADHD Black Lab/Beagle mix we have now.... Not so sure yet. The brick and mortar is sucking the fun-funds limiting our travels.
