My '03 Itasca Sunova has sustained damage to both rear taillight panels. These appear to be plastic, maybe plastic and fiberglass? My question is this- can this material be repaired/reshaped using a fiberglass repair kit? I have some gouging, a split and a crumpled portion.

I have tried to source used panels with no success. I can buy new from Winnebago. They are only available in white plastic and must be painted.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kent and welcome!

Perhaps - is there an area on the body where you can experiment with bonding?  I recommend West System epoxy and the appropriate filler (like micro-balloons which can be sanded.)  You can buy West at most marine stores (brick and mortar or on-line.)  I would not use polyester resin due to inferior strength compared to epoxy resin.
