ASt peak effiency INVERTERS and CONVERTERs hit asbout 90% so you will lose at least 20% of your solar power by the O/P's plan

A better plan.. NOTE this asssumes NO "Big ticket" stuff like Air Conditoners or water heaters.. BUt I will give a plan with them.

Shore power----Inline type True Sine Inverter-----House distribution panel

Solasr---Charge controller---Batteries---Same inverter as above

NOTE Fuses as proper need to be added to that

Advantage. ZERO loss on shore power. Solar charges batteies direct and via them and the converter you loose only 10-15% to outlets depenfing on load.. (You are going to loose thst no matter how you do it)

SHORE power CHARGES basttreries and zero loss passed to outlets.

For BIG TICKET make following changes

Shore power---Master panel----Heasvy loads (A/C Waster heater, Fr9idge_ and INVERTER (30 amp to inverter)

Inverter to SUB panel to outlets, TV's and such.

NOTE: This last is how I'm wired save I do not have solar. nor the weight rating to mount panels. I'm already at max.
