powered fan/vent

installing a powered vent/fan with wall switch.  Fan works great.  Powered lid opens but will not close.  Any ideas about what's wrong? Thanks for the help.  candyk

What kind of fan did you install?  Sometimes you have to bring an unswitched source of 12 volts to the fan for the raise/lower motor to work properly.

When you turn the wall switch on, 12 volts is available to raise the cover.  But when you turn the switch off, there's no power to retract the cover.

it's a ventline fan/vent with a rocker type wall switch. the switch is pre-wired so just have to match up the hot, common wires.  going to test the switch to see if it's the problem.  Thanks for the input!!
