Can you help me install this?
I have a 2005 dodge ram with a brake controller wiring kit that says this.......
circuit function
ground circuit  -  dark green wire with black trace
vehicle brake sense inpuut (brake lights) - light blue wire
trailer tow electric brake feed - light blue wire
+12volts (30 amp max) battery feed - white wire with red trace

Now, I bought a tekonsha P2 controller and the wiring harness on this says......
Wiring legend
black wire- positive battery
white wire-negative battery
red wire (cold side of stoplight switch)
blue wire (brake output to trailer)

So,  which wires go to which wires?

The controller red wire is the input - typically fed from the brake pedal switch (cold side). That should be equivalent to the "vehicle brake sense input" on your other wiring. It looks like the existing +12v, 30A is a battery feed for power and is equivalent to the "black wire - positive battery" for the Prodigy.

I think Tekonsha has a wiring adapter kit for Dodges - you might consider using that if in doubt. It plugs right into the vehicle wiring harness, at least for some years of Dodges.

You can call them and they will walk you through the connections. They did that with me, and their customer service is great.

At least on my 2002 Dodge Cummins there was a accessories plug under the dash for trailer brakes. Just contact a dealer and get the pigtail and the wiring is already marked and ready for hook up to the controller.
