remodeling my mini rv

  I've been bored.

  I've been broke down and land locked for 2 months now.

  Mt last expedition to Big Sur was nice and quiet and relaxing and beautiful. You can see the view from that campsite in my avatar. But I broke the rig pretty good about a half mile before that campsite. Darn Rocks! I still managed to have a few nice days there.

  I am now camping in the driveway, and have been waiting for parts, tools, money, more parts, more tools, with lots of time for resting this tired old body.

  The parts list for the right side so far has been upper ball joint, tie rod end, ball joint press, lower ball joint attempt, but the bore was egged, so a new lower control arm, and return the now bent ball joint press. Oh, and the new control arm did not have a zerk fitting, so I will be changing that ball joint when I get a new ball joint press.

  The parts list for the left side includes upper control arm, lower ball joint and tie rod end. I also have a new set of 4 shocks for the icing on the cake.

  I don't know about anyone else, but when I get bored I start changing things, moving the furniture, stuff like that. It's probably a good thing I'm not married to a blind man...

  In the above photos, you can see that the 60/40 seats were removed and the 60% side covered the right rear door and folded down for stowage access.
  The left rear main entry had the beginnings of a wood floor and threshold.
  The commode is stowed in the cubby aft of the driver.
  The blue tub is actually also a sink and the water jug is supposed to have a hand pump with a spout.
  But I am still waiting on my faucet. I think it is on a slow boat from China.

But I was think something different, so I started moving stuff again:

I moved the sideways seat further to the rear, allowing use of that door again.

  In this revision, I turned the front passenger seat 180. I travel alone, and I enjoy the comfort of stretching out.

  But I thought, what if I do have to carry a passenger? So I put the 40% seat back in the original place. We are now flying tandem!

  I also have the option of putting my bicycle in the back, if I fold down the back seat, remove the front wheel on the bike, and put the forks in a fork rack mounted by the tailgate. That has been the place for my bike got the last 6 months, without the fork rack of course. It might work again. At least until I get a receiver hitch or some kind of rear rack.

Well it ain't much, but it is home.
And it is a nice upgrade from the old Subaru wagon.
