I was reading an older post from August 2006 where Al had asked about the roads from Mt Rushmore to Yellowstone.
I read the replies but do have a question.
I got my map out of our trip to check about which of these roads we may be on (we will be traveling in the opposite direction) from reading the replies.

We will be taking I-90 from Hardin MT to Buffalo Wy and then onto Rapid City SD.

My question is......  It looks like we will be on a very small section of us 14  about 12 miles  from about the border town of Ranchester WY to Sheridan. The maps shows that us 14 and I-90 are kind of one and the same through this section. Then at Sheridan we are back on I-90. Will this section of 14 be ok with our 40 DMH no toad?

Thank you
Colleen

US14 & I90 are one and the same on that stretch.

Don't worry...everything will be alright. Relax and enjoy the trip..  ;)

This is important.  DO NOT attempt travel on highway 14 west from I-90 through Shell or 14/14A to Lovell. 10+ percent grades.  The more appropriate route would be to take highway 16 from Buffalo to Worland and then on hiway 14 to Cody.
