This has nowt to do with politics Jeff  ;) The Queen is head of government, irrespective which political party is in the majority. She's also head of church, but that's only the Church of England  ;D

Only if you want it to be, and only if it's COE  ;D

Well anyway we are all glad the baby and parents are doing fine.

What many foreigners don't seem to realise is that many people WANT the royalty. They also do some great work, and bring a lot of money into the country.

Is it so terrible that people be appreciative of their history, traditions, and the pageantry that goes along with it?
Or does nothing have value that can't be stated on a profit and loss statement?

Aye, there's a ton of them floating around.

George Alexander Louis.

What a mouthful, but all politically royalty correct.

School kids will probably call him Georgie or Georgie Boy.

Then there's this, compliments of George Takei

I was in a supermarket the other day, and one of the tabloids had an "expose" that "proved" the Queen had decided to jump over Charles for William. Complete with doctored photos.

Given the longevity of his predecessors, the future king could be 70 or more before he gets his turn on the throne. His great grand mother is 87 and still in reasonably good health, her mother lived past 100. I am curious if protocol required they submit a choice of names for vetting. Would they have been allowed to christen him Ryley or Liam?
