Two morals here: (1) Bears can be a major nuisance, and (2) they aren't necessarily fatal.

Thanks. I think we will still entertain the idea of a hybrid. Mainly because I haven't found a floor plan we love without getting a unit that is either way too much for what we need or too much for our truck to pull safely.

I will just make sure to read up on bear safety and make sure we get a unit where we can "turtle" if necessary.

If you live in NC I just put my hybrid on Raleigh Craig?s list. It?s a 2010 Jayco jay feather exp. I pull it with a ram 1500 with no problem. If you want to look at it let me know.  It has a 12 ft slide that gives more room inside.
