Uncle has had a trailer on the lot of a dealer for 2 years for him to sell (2005 model 17' I think).  He now has a potential offer of $8000 for it (I think he paid $16,000).  With PDI ($495), sales commission ($500) and misc other, Uncle has been guaranteed $6500 net.  Uncle is 82 a bit senile and could use the money.  I think he should sell; what do you think? I am not in the same state as him and have been speaking with dealer who seems on the up and up.  I know I'm not giving much info on the trailer, but does it seem reasonable?

Take the offer. Why wait another two years for another offer? It won't get better.

You didn't mention the make and model, but you can look it up in the NADA RV guide to get an idea of the retail value. It's just an estimate, but it gives a clue. $8k sounds like a fair price to me, though.
