Is there a difference in the "feel" of pulling a single axel trailer as opposed to a Tandum if everything else is equal?

IMO Yes. With a single axle anything.. you feel every bump because the whole trailer takes the hit with a bounce. Tandem axles tend to Crawl over bumps some, countering the front axle, absorbing the hit.. some ? They Track better too.

Tandem axel trailers don't sway as much either. 4 tires on the ground spreading the weight.. instead of just 2 ?

I agree with the above.

But even if there was no difference in "feel" I would NEVER want a single axle trailer.
IF you ever have a blow out you could flip the trailer or do real damage to it.
And if you have a flat your not going anywhere until it's fixed - whereas with 4 wheels there's
a good chance you could limp to get it fixed somewhere without leaving it on the side of the road or highway.

Yes.  A tandam axil trailer is a lot heavier then a single axil trailer.    They handle bumps in the road a lot better
