That's sad, ignorance and self-indulgence by humans ended its existence. It's good for those people it was a calf, an adult would have charged them and the death might have been human instead.
The most dangerous animal in Alaska is Moose.

In all seriousness, dogs are the #1 killer of people in Alaska.

I notice that mosquitos are not on the list. I've heard of people slapping themselves or others to death just standing on the front porch in the summer.
