The porcelain part only goes half way down the pedestal then it is plastic the rest of the way to the floor. It is a bonded joint between the plastic and the porcelain. This is often the spot where it leaks, not at the floor seal. Check the pedestal all around for streaks indicating that porcelain/plastic seam is leaking. This is a factory problem and the only fix is to seal around that seam. It is a bonded seam and will not come apart. You may have to remove the toilet, tape around the seam and squeeze in a coat or two of sealant it that is where your leak is.
I had two Dometic (Sealand) toilets replaced under warranty due to this problem. Others have not been able lately to get a free replacement, but sealing the seam works if that is your leak area. At first I thought it was my floor seal or water valve leaking. Chect the other areas mentioned here also.
