Towed miles v driven miles

Right Karl, I said "Very low wear" not zero.  I have seen trailer tires last for many years, many years indeed, since there is no power to the wheels (Even if the trailer has brakes) what really tears up tires are road hazards and power to the wheels, (If you have a rear wheel drive car then the "power" on the front wheels is from steering)  also bad alingment tears them up and in this case it matters not if towed or driven

However when towing there is almost never power to the wheels, the front is "pulled" through the turn so the turning stress is way lower than if driven, and the rear just naturally follows the front.  Thus you are looking at trailer type tire life  which is much better than the tow vehicles (for the same tire) course the 22.5's on the MH are not the 15's on my Lumina so ...
