So we were planning to escape the cold rain and head for Key West tomorrow (from NW Georgia).

The forecast is for 20-30 mph winds.

What will 20-30 mph winds do to the fifth wheel?  Go, or suffer the cold rain another day?

Joel

Well, a 5er is much better than say, a travel trailer, but if you have the option to wait it out, why take the chance of driving in all that yucky weather.  Wait until it blows over and go easy on yourself.

Weather forecasts being what they are, I'd probably start out driving, but if I actually encountered winds like that I would find a campground in a hurry.

Thanks all.

We went for it and are safely here at Exit 5 in GA (dern near to Florida).

Hey Joel,

I took mine down I-95 from central FL to Juno Beach. No problem with winds. 20-30 mph is not a problem. When it gets up to 40, then I wory a little.

Agreed!  20-30 MPH winds should not be a probelm.  50+ would be.
