Old buildings continued
Cemeteries were pretty interesting too, there’s a National cemetery in Beaufort.
the beach was fabulous
boardwalks into the marshes were interesting too.
We saw a tree they believe to be more than 400 years old on St. John’s island
Favorite lunch place Johnson Creek Tavern, She-crab soup and hush puppies to die for, shrimp basket pretty good too. Rustic place where there’s dollar bills stapled to the walls. Best spot to take home fish for the grill, Sea Eagle seafood on Boundary street. Best chocolate (chocoholic here), Chocolate Tree in Beaufort. Best beach, The boneyard. We’ll go again because we loved it!
