We recently had an unusual experience at the Wal-Mart store location off I-25 at 136th Ave in Westminster, Colorado. We stopped late in the evening, intending to leave fairly early the next morning. There were two truckers also parked in the back lot. After we stopped the Security person came by and told us that the City has an ordiance prohibiting over night parking. However, the Security man told us that the store policy was that if we were ever contacted by City Police in that lot, we were to say that we were parked to shop in the Wal-Mart Store and that we would be shopping before we left in the morning. He stated that the city ordinance permitted parking to shop and there was no time limit for shopping. We did do some shopping.
I had never heard of this before and we were not contacted that night.
