Well we've decided to do it. My wife and I put our house on the market here in Washington state and we're hitting the road. Our tribe minus one will be living in our rig for about a year. We homeschool our children so mom has already a ton of work for them to do. Our goal is to leave around the first of April and head to Boise to stay with friends and then make our way thru Utah and then go the Southern route to get to Florida where we will stay for awhile with friends. After we get the notion we plan on heading up the east coast to visit relatives and the sites up in the New England area. Eventually we hope to land in N.E. Tenn. to set up a home base or maybe we will like so much we will stay on the road.
So We're all excited and getting loaded up and selling almost everything on the internet to lighten our moving load. Anyone have any interesting sites a family of 8 would enjoy seeing as we pass thru N.M., North Texas, Louisiana, etc.

Wow! That's a big tribe for an RV! Sounds like a fantastic adventure, though, and we wish you the best of luck in your travels. Keep us posted as you move along.

Tribe of 8, wow, hope it's a big RV !

In New Mexico, you might want to visit Carlsbad Caverns, the VLA (Very Large Array), White Sands Nat'l Monument, the missile museum at White Sands. Near Deming, there are 3 cool state parks....Pancho Villa, City of Rocks, and Rock Hound. If you plan on spending much time in New Mexico, they have a state park campgrond pass for $225 that gives you a year of free camping (you pay $4 for electric).

If you visit many national parks, you might want to get the kids their Passports. They have cancellation stamps at all the parks that you stamp in the Passport book. And the Junior Ranger program is great....good way for the kids to learn a lot.

Enjoy your travels
Wendy
