Hello. I'm thinking of buying 2000 WINNEBAGO JOURNEY 36L. I have a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer LS. I downloaded the manual, and the manual indicates max tow capacity of 5,000 lbs. The 2007 Chevy Trailblazer LS shows dry weight of ~4,400 lbs. I was thinking of towing using tow dolly.

Am I asking for trouble since I'd be near tow capacity? Thanks!

Thank you. Also, I love Thomas Sowell!
I've always hated that quote.

But back to topic
I am not sure how much Tow Dollies usually weigh, but that can be a factor, as well as the actual weight rating of the dolly.
A Uhaul dolly weighs in at 750 lbs, and they're rated to haul a 3400-3600 lb vehicle.
You could be stretching it.
Do the math for yourself. Don't take our word for it.

Your vehicles owners manual, pages 357-358 detail how your specific vehicle can be safely towed. 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer â Owner's Manual in PDF!
The 4WD model is the only version that can be towed 4-down. All other models must use a tow dolly or flat trailer: adding the vehicle gross weight and tow dolly or trailer weight you'll be over the hitch towing limits.
