I winterized my TT early this month using the air method and pink in the traps. I left the faucets open figuring if any water remains left, that could possibly expand, would escape. Also I drained the low points and fresh tank but put the caps back on. Is this correct or should I have kept the caps off? I also left the water heater plug off after bypassing it.

I would close the faucets, close the low water drains, and put the plug back in the water heater to keep any bugs out that might want to crawl into any of those places.

I always kept the faucets open but as far as the drains, just put the caps on loose so no bugs can get in. I use to just put the heater drain in a couple of threads for the same reasons. Bugs.

Good ideas about putting the plugs on loosely. So I will revisit the TT and keep all of the plugs on but loosely and leave the faucets open.
Thanks Again
Joe
