2022 Entegra Vision 27A.

I had no desire to buy an RV today, I only wanted to look.

At first, I had no desire to even look at this one, but I did anyway and instantly fell in love with it. Makes me want to sell both my houses, 9 out of ten motorcycles, etc., and then full time.

Just a little longer than I wanted, but it is easy to drive and such. I have already driven it around a bit at the RV dealer large lot.

I could not find anything I didn't like with it. Doesn't have the cheap feel of the Thor Axis. Looks very high quality inside, IMO. Has ways to deal with my lith battery and such. I decided I will have two separate 12V systems in this RV. I will add my lith converter and lith battery and 4KW inverter to run my ham gear, MW oven and such and not touch the stock stuff.

I don't think this RV comes with an inverter, but didn't spend a lot of time looking. It does have solar, and a large two way refrigerator.

See attached photo of my new RV.

$161,500.00 out the door. I will pick it up on the 15th of this month. I watched them put in the "sold" signs today.

Before you actually sign the purchase contract take a close look at the weight numbers. From a quick casual glance it appears it has a rather small weight carrying capacity.
FWIW, here is one in TX for $124K.https://www.rvusa.com/2022-entegra-coach-vision-27a-class-a-3135958

I kinda like your idea of separate battery systems. Would be one way to dip your toe into lithium without having to go all in to R&R lead acid. Do you set up a shack in your RV's? I don't operate mobile and usually just set up wherever, but it gets old dragging everything out, setting up and stowing away.

It's just me, so the weight capacity will not be an issue.

It has a little less tow capacity than the Axis (8K/800 tongue) at 5K/500 tongue, but that is enough for my electric motorcycle as I have been carrying with 350 lb hitch on my old RV.

The base price here was $149,049.00. 25K$ more than that one there in Texas. But the base price often means little after they jack up the price with various BS fees and such and that is where to compare.

Or perhaps I did pay too much. I didn't try to bargain with them or anything. But it's already signed and I am happy with the deal and that is all that counts.

I can't wait to take my first trip with it.

Seriously consider hiring an independent inspector to check out the rig before taking delivery. Entegra is having significant quality control issues right now, and dealer repairs are taking months to get completed.

I know of at least one new unit that Entegra purchased back because it was so poorly constructed.

Exactly. Congratulations, and enjoy your new digs. It looks great!

During an RV trip, setting the stuff up will just give me something more to do, which is fine with me. But I still like the idea of the shack inside the RV and I will see if there is a way for me to do such.

I decided to leave my old RV as is but still go with my plan. I will buy new stuff for this RV, new 80 amp lith converter, new lith battery and still have the separate DC system for my ham gear and perhaps other stuff. Will even have separate solar, but 100W portable that I will put out during the day when boondocked.

While this new RV has several USB and AC outlets, I didn't notice any 12V outlets. So setting up inside will be the way to do this. There are several possibilities to put all this stuff without making too big of a mess inside the motorhome.

I always felt it was stupid to put in USB outlets to power anything. Put in 12V outlets and then for one dollar (at the one dollar stores) we can buy a plug in 12V to USB converter as needed. Then we can have either 12VDC or 5V USB instead of being stuck with 5V USB only. Same issue on my Energica motorcycle. Has USB only, but inside the bike it is fed with 12V that is difficult to get to. But I did and now I have a 12V outlet on it that can be used to fill up a tire or run a GPS and countless other things that cannot be done with USB.

What were the issues? But this kinda reminds me of reviews. I have yet to see any on anything that had more than 25 reviews that didn't have several 5 stars as well as several one stars.

Perhaps luck or whatever. Anyway, this V-27A looks well built to me, but perhaps I don't know what to look for. Time will be the best test.

When they sell an RV, they always seem to try to get customers to buy extra stuff such as "MultiSeal" for the tires, "paint and fabric protection" and a "travel protection plan" and other such nonsense (I assume it's all nonsense). I tell them I want to ask in an RV Forum about this stuff first before deciding and then they tell me I have to decide right now because the motorhome is going into the service shop right away.

I don't like being pressured for such, so that was an automatic "no" from me on everything they offered.

But now I will ask anyway . . .is any of the stuff they offered worth the extra expense?

And what do they really do in the service shop with newly sold RVs when you don't want any of the extra stuff? Is any of it really necessary? They say they check everything and such. What is really happening?

What are those little six volt batteries that are so common in RVs these days? The Thor Axis has them as well as my 2022 Entegra Vision 27A.

Today, I looked at these batteries very carefully. Not a single spec mentioned on them. Not even the voltage, no info at all (unless they put it all on the very bottom of the batteries these days). They look like small cheap L-A batteries but there is no real clue of any type. They were totally sealed, which I thought was unusual for a house L-A battery.

And how many watts is my solar? I assume 100W, but I do not know and neither did the salesman. Or was there none at all? I recall looking at the roof of one RV that had no solar, perhaps this one was it. But the RV that had no solar, the salesman thought it did, but it didn't. But I now cannot remember if that was this RV or another one.

Nice, Don. Congrats, good luck, and enjoy that new MH.
All those extras? - they put $$$ in the dealer's pockets, IMO. Nothing that can not be added later.
I love shopping for new motorhomes.

Basically, no, but if you later decide you should have it's likely available from a 3rd party at less expense, and sometimes better "quality."

That's exactly what I figured.

BTW, I just remembered that it has solar. I now recall looking at the lit up solar controller.

Congratulations, looks like a very nice RV. As a m/c guy you'll appreciate that a Goldwing F6B followed me home the other day, unexpected, lol. Enjoy your new RV, safe travels.
