    Trailer Brakes

Ok , fixed , plug at the bumper , truck side apparently corroded at the pin for the actual brake app and broke , took the controller with it , I'm assuming from arcing. New plug and controller and alot of sweat in a Panama City parking lot and all fixed . Thanks for the responses

    Trailer Brakes

The tbc is a Tekonsha, older model , apparently the blue wire running to the brakes is grounded until you apply power to that side, the brake controller is supposed to sense that ground and that's what wakes it up when you plug the 7 pin in ?

    Trailer Brakes

It is sending the signal and my brake lights work , it's a 2003 GMC and the wires are spliced into the factory harness stubs

    Trailer Brakes

First trip out with the new camper and my trailer brakes are acting up, the controller is not juicing the blue wire , matter of fact the green lights not glowing now at all. On the way down the green light glowed but the brakes barely felt like they were working. Push the slide on the controller...

    Question about Travel Trailer Weights

Yeah I apologize for that,  I prob should have started a new thread but I knew it was related and I'm half asleep from working 3rd shift :-)

    Question about Travel Trailer Weights

Kinda hijacking this thread but I have a related question.  Just sold my 3500lbs camper and bought a larger one which weighs 5500 and is considerably taller ie: ground clearance.  When towing with my 2wd half ton GMC the trailer is butt high, I'm wondering if it's safe to turn my insert for my...

    Pickup engines, starting with Ford

2012 and above 6.7 or 2002 and below for the 7.3 in the Fords, Cummings in the Dodge pretty much any year,  Duramax 2004 and above with Allison is great. I'm a fleet mechanic at a sheet mill and we have ALL Fords and I will tell you it's hard to beat that V10 for a workhorse, not fast , not the...

Best and worst of 20'-25' travel trailer quality

I've got a 18ft Starcraft and have been happy with it, previous owners prob worked the bugs out. I have been studying Sunset Park RV for awhile and am considering buying one , plain and seem simple and are extremely light, just can't find anyone on here who has any experience with them but they...

    Aluminum VS Wood

I like all the thoughts on here and no I'm not gonna even think about rebuilding either,  I was in on a rebuild of the bunk cap on a class C and that broke me from wanting to do that EVER again.  I mainly was thinking about weight and of course durability.  Also I'm in the aluminum manufacturing...

    Who builds it

I'm thinking Sunset is a legit builder with a decent product , of course I can't find ALOT of reviews about them, I like the layout and the weight of that 24QB so I may wind up being my own guinea pig  :o

    Aluminum VS Wood

Well I kinda was thinking the same thing although i do have a tendency to keep things a while,  I still have an 87 Suburban that i like better than most people  :D

    Who builds it

You guys are right , it's a Sunsetter Rush 24QB , now my next question is are they junk? I think the salesmen already lied when he said aluminum sidewall and roof structure,  doesn't say that on their website but otherwise seems legit ? Thoughts ? Thanks by the way

    Who builds it

    Yep it is spelled Wildkat

    Who builds it

Been thinking of purchasing a new smaller toy hauler and found one with the layout I like at Wildcat RV in Ky.  It's a Wildkat Extreme 24QB, I know it's kind of an off name brand I'm assuming made specifically for that dealer. The salesman sais it's built in (You guessed it) Indiana and it is...
