Thanks for the feedback man. I have since gotten a 2021 Silverado 2500 with a 27500 lb gvwr. I would rather be safe than sorry. It’s got a 6.6L diesel and 10 speed Alison trans. Standard bed crew cab so long enough wheelbase. Gonna stick with this tt at least until the kids are grown as long as...
Hahahaha yeah it is. Way cheaper than the premium I had to put in that 6.2! It’s my first diesel and the technology with them is so evolved now. No waiting for glow plugs anymore 👍
Thanks man! It’s all we will ever need. I figured I have a truck for a purpose and if it can’t safely serve that purpose then I need to get a different one👍 I’m all about safety! It was pretty marginal on if my 1500 could safely tow my travel trailer and I didn’t want to have any problems...
Ended up doing the safer option and trading my 1500 in (trade in value is really high right now) got a 2500 instead. It’s a nice truck with 11350 gvwr and enough to pull 2 of these campers!
They are oem and the discount tire guy said they are rated to deal with what the truck can. He said just a consideration to get lt tires next time I need tires. Kinda ran out of time today for measuring and weighing, had to get kids from school. Plan on getting to scales and measuring next week
got some air in the tires up to their max and it rides a lot better until I hit a 20 mph crosswind. It seems to always be windy here! I’m feeling much better about the way it rides. I might upgrade to some lt tires anyway just for safety. From the look of these pictures the back end of my truck...
Thank you very much. I’m definitely going to air up the tires. I was going around 65 ish. So that is a good tidbit to know. Im Working the next few days but I definitely appreciate your input on some pictures. From what I could tell it was pretty level but you guys definitely have more...
Thank you very much for the input. im attributing that feeling to the tires and wind at this point but I am definitely going to run it across some scales to see where I’m at...
