    Towing a TT with a lifted TV...question?

**Have you heard any positive or negative on the Husky brand WD hitch?** I am willing to stand corrected but I have been taught that Husky is owned by VALLEY hitches which is the manufacturer stock hitches on FORD, CHEVY and DODGE.  So I can only assume they do their job well.  As a Husky...

Went to my first dealer, and boy you guys were right!

**  So thanks for the help on this site, your expertise helped me from salesman who only care about the sale. ** It is unfortunate that many newbies to RV sales will lie to make money to feed their kids.  On behalf of ethical professional RV salesmen which I am one I can only apologise for his...

Do All 1-Ton 4x4 Trucks Need to be "Lowered"

Used to be that a stock truck (Ford, Chevy, or Dodge) had enough bed clearance from the factory, but the newer 06 and 07 models are being equipped with monster tires (20" and or 22") and is causing this problem more and more.  The solutions are to  1) lower the truck  2) Flip the axle on the 5th...

    freightliner VS. spartan

I would think that the only way to notice a real difference between an IFS chassis and a non is by taking it off some bumpy dirt roads, but why would I want to take a 300,000+ DP in the dirt?  Plus if you get stuck in the sand you cant tow a IFS chassis out from what I understand.

    Clean water tank shock

As far as sanitizing the fresh water tank a cup or so of bleach is great, then dump your water tank and flush out 1 time, then fill and use as normal.  As far as ruining "good bacteria"  in the grey or black tank, I haven't heard anything positive or negative about this since it is not a closed...

Aluminum Frame vs. Steel Tubing structure for Class A

For a good PIC, I took about 90 at the Monaco plant last week in  Indiana and here is a DIP sidewall construction (minus the pink panther fiberglass) , then a sidewall with the fiberglass and the 3rd PIC is the gelcoated fiberglass sidewall baing installed.  Pretty cool.  I have many more if...

    freightliner VS. spartan

I apoligise in advance but I haven't heard anything leaning either way with F-liner or Spartan. IMHO They are very similar if you are looking at an IFS across both lines.  The only advantage of a Spartan is if you are looking at a Travel Supreme with a Mid Engine to have a garage in the MH.  I...

    2004 minnie winnie spare tire

On that year model it should be under the chassis.  The newer 05 and 06's Winnebago's have a compartment accessed from the outside under the BED and store the Spare there.  FYI

Aluminum Frame vs. Steel Tubing structure for Class A

(Which one is better build, an aluminum construction or rectangular steel tubing for the body frame structure (floor, walls and roof) of a Class A Motorhome ?) A steel frame in my opinion is superior to Aluminum, its stronger and will last longer, Unfortunately its also much heavier and...

    Monaco Knight

Gypsy, It sounds like you were having an issue with  Monarch model and it sounds like the DEALER was not being responsive to your needs which is unfortunate.  Having just returned from the Monaco Factory in Indiana I san say that Monaco is the only company I know of that manufactures their own...
