No easy way around The Baltimore/DC area. I do it often. Just take your time, put a little Sinatra on and you'll get there.

    New York state campground advice

I would plan on the first week of October, The Schroon Lake area is the place to be. Great location and easy to hit all areas of the Adirondacks from. Several nice campgrounds to pick from as well.

Had a little heart scare Friday night at home

When I had my heart attack I had no chest pain, had pain in my shoulders. Unfortunately, I ignored those pains until it was too late and I found myself on the Ocracoke ferry  when the pain really hit me. Had a very long ride to Nags Head hospital followed by a medivac to Virginia Beach, leaving...

    Dry Bath vs Wet Bath

I have a wet bath in my r-pod.. shower curtain covers the toilet, usually have a spare towel on hand to wipe everything down anyway. Put the exhaust fan on and things dry pretty quickly. Love the compact design and lightweight. Longest trip 25 days-- we managed just fine.

    Yellowstone has to wait

Yellowstone can wait.. Get healthy first. I had one of those copter rides in the outer banks when I had my heart attack 3 years ago. Not fun for the DW  to see me whisked off in the middle of the night. Take care and best wishes

Oh no, it's an RV. We better get in front of him!

Try driving on the Cross Bronx Expressway! I have to do it on every trip south or west.

    Some1 doesn't like my RVs.

My Village came down on me because they received an anonymous complaint. All my neighbors have no problem with my small trailer in my driveway. The Village gave me until October to find a new home for it. Problem is, storage places on LI wants $150/month. Thinking about challenging the Village...
