Our 2005 Yukon came without an exterior ladder. We would like to add one if possible, eliminating the need to haul one around with us. The gal at the RV place told me that if there isn't one on it when you bought it, there is a reason for it not being there, i.e. there is not enough support for it, or something along those lines. Has anyone got any information on whether or not it's possible to add one.

Many thanks.

It's highly likely that, if the ladder wasn't put on at the factory, they've omitted the glassed-in blocks that would be needed to support the load. Others might have experience with attaching a ladder without the support blocks.

The best thing to do is contact the manufacturer and get their recomendation.  They can give you information as to exactly where to install the ladder it and if there is any reason a ladder should not be instaled.
