Thinking about adding a slide out topper to our rig to keep weather and debris off the roof of the slide. (always have to climb on ladder to clean it before closing) Don't think it is a big job, my brother and I are both pretty capable and have had TT's and 5er's for years and do a lot of our own maintenance and repairs. Wondering if anyone has tackled one of these before and any suggestions from that experience. It's a 12' slide. I'm seeing the toppers and mounting kits listed separately?? Seems weird. The DW and I are slowly getting to where we are going to be using it more in the coming years and think a topper would be good addition. Just looking for hands on guidance. Thanks and safe travels.
